One of the most satisfying things you can do with your bike is fix it yourself. Like when I learnt how to true my wheels and when i degreased me chain and gears a few weeks ago. Last weekend I calibrated my rear derailleur to get my gears changing nice and smooth again. This is going to sound really pretentious but fixing my bike myself has made feel closer to my bicycle, like a man and his dog bonding.
Is this sad of me?
I know fixie riders go on about how the fixed gear bikes make you really connect with the road and it's sort of along the same line. I guess it's just like how we get attached to any of our possessions the longer we have, use and fix them.

Chris told me about a guy who was arrested for having sex with his bike with the curtains open. It went to court, but the judge threw the case out.

i don't think i'd go that far. maybe have sex on a bike with someone, but not with the bike itself.
that's how I feel about my bike, my car, my coffee grinder, etc...
