'The Kingdom of The Blind' by Hew Locke

Last Thursday, 16th of October, I went to see the show which i spent 4-5 weeks helping construct. The gallery was empty and quiet, far more appropriate for viewing than cluttered private view. I invited my mum to come along with me as she hadn't seen it and this was the last chance I had to show her round. Not that there's much to explain. The work (20 foot tall giants constructed from pound shop jewelry and cheap children's toys) speaks for itself.
Here's a publicity shot for those of you didn't get a chance/couldn't be asked to see it/had no idea it was on.

For the record, Hew Locke is a very nice man. He even got me some paid work for all my troubles. He also introduced me too one of the greatest sandwiches ever. The Fallen Hero from La Bouche on Broadway Market, London Fields. Houmous, Black Olives, some kind of salad leaf and a sweet spicy relish which I can't remember the name of. I've spent to last few weeks trying to recreate it for my packed lunches. Even though I can't quite make it the same way, it's still good. I recommend you try it making it yourself or if you're in the Broadway Market/London Fields/Hackney area.
